Game Day Pork Sandwich with Creamy Truffle Caesar
This mouthwatering sandwich is loaded with juicy pork and the rich, indulgent flavors of our Twisted Caesar Creamy Truffle Caesar Chopped Salad Kit™. It’s irresistibly delicious and the perfect way to repurpose leftover pork roast!
Ingredients
- 1 (9.3-ounce) package Fresh Express® Twisted Caesar Creamy Truffle Caesar Chopped Salad Kit®
- 2 pounds boneless, skinless pork chops
- 2 tablespoons canola oil
- 4 tablespoons Italian seasoning
- 1 red onion, peeled and sliced
- 4 long sandwich rolls
Instructions
- Preheat a large pan over medium-high heat. While the pan heats, season both sides of the pork chops with Italian seasoning.
- Once the pan is hot, add canola oil and place the pork chops in the pan. Cook for 6-8 minutes per side (depending on thickness) until they reach an internal temperature of 145°F. Remove from the pan and let them rest for a few minutes before slicing into strips.
- While the pork is resting, peel and slice the onion.
- In the same pan, add the sliced red onion and sauté over medium heat until soft and translucent, about 5 minutes. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, combine together the lettuce, dressing, croutons, and cheese from the Creamy Truffle Caesar Salad Kit.
- Place the sandwich rolls in the pan and toast until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
- Build the sandwiches by placing the sliced pork on the bottom half of each toasted bun. Top the pork with the prepared Creamy Truffle Caesar salad mixture and sautéed onions. Finish with the top half of the bun and serve immediately.
