Easter Smokehouse BBQ Chicks Salad
These charming Easter Smokehouse BBQ Chicks served atop a bed of flavorful Fresh Express® Smokehouse Chopped Salad Kit™ is a festive feast for both the eyes and the taste buds!
Ingredients
- 1 (10.5-ounces) package Fresh Express® Smokehouse Chopped Salad Kit™
- 12 hardboiled eggs
- 1/3 cup mayonnaise
- 2 teaspoons of Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 carrot sliced into rings
- 4 black olives
- 4 sprigs of fresh dill
Instructions
- Slice thinly across the bottom of each egg so that it will stand up on its own.
- Slice through middle of egg and gently remove yolk from all eggs.
- Mix mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, salt, and egg yolks in a bowl until smooth.
- Place egg yolk mixture in a piping bag and fill bottom of egg white until they are ¼ inch over the brim of the egg. Top with the “lid.” Continue with remaining eggs.
- Stamp out eyes from the olives with a straw and place on eggs.
- Thinly cut the carrot rings “pizza style” into 6 pieces and place 2 pieces on the eggs to create the beaks of the chicks.
- Mix Fresh Express® Smokehouse Chopped Salad Kit™ in a bowl and place on serving tray.
- Nestle the eggs into the salad and serve.
