Korean Beef Short Ribs with Korean Sesame Noodle Salad

Ingredients
- 1 bag (16.1-ounce) Fresh Express® Korean Sesame Hot or Cold Salad and Noodle Meal Kit®
- 16oz bone in short ribs cut Flanken style
- 1 Asian pear
- 3 tablespoons grated ginger
- 3 cloves fresh garlic
- 1/3 cup soy sauce
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 1/3 cup mirin
- 3 tablespoons toasted sesame oil
- 1/2 cup water
Instructions
For Short Ribs
- Peel and remove the core from the pear, then roughly chop the pear.
- In a blender, add the pear, garlic, ginger, and water.
- Blend until fully combined, then strain the mixture through a fine mesh strainer.
- Whisk the soy sauce, sesame oil, honey, and mirin into the liquid.
- Place the ribs in a bowl and cover them with the marinade.
- Marinate the ribs for a minimum of 45 minutes, preferably for a few hours.
For The Dish
- Preheat the grill to medium heat. Grill the short ribs until caramelized on each side, about 5 minutes.
- Once the ribs are finished cooking, set them aside and prepare the Fresh Express® Korean Sesame Hot or Cold Salad and Noodle Meal Kit® according to the package instructions as a hot meal.
- Serve the short ribs on top of the kit and enjoy!
