Layered Smokehouse Salad
With layers of flavor, this smokehouse inspired salad is sure to be a hit at the picnic or dinner table, and it only takes 20 minutes to prepare!
Ingredients
- 3 (10.5-ounce) packages Fresh Express® Smokehouse Chopped Kits®
- 5 hard cooked eggs, sliced
- 1 cup celery
- 1 (16-ounce) package black-eyed peas, cooked
- 12 cherry tomatoes, cut in half
- 6 slices bacon, cooked crisp, chopped
Instructions
- Place two packages of the Fresh Express® Smokehouse Chopped Kits® into the bottom of a large glass bowl. Slide the eggs down the side of the bowl and make an even row around the perimeter.
- Top the lettuce with the celery, and black-eyed peas, spreading the peas out to the side of the bowl.
- Slide the tomatoes, cut side out, down the side of the bowl and make an even row on top of the peas around the perimeter.
- Top the peas with the last package of the Fresh Express® Smokehouse Chopped Kit®. Top with the bacon, and the toppings from the kit. Once salad is served, drizzle each portion with the dressing from the chopped kit.
